Richard Dickson Guynn is a labor economist and consultant who taught economics in the College of Business at West Georgia College (later the State University of West Georgia) from 1969 until his retirement in 2001. Before moving to Carrollton, Guynn received a B.A. degree from Virginia Polytechnic Institute, an M.A. from Memphis State University, and his Ph.D. from the University of Alabama.
